2024.1 Release – September 2024

A new release of Altair AI Studio 2024.1, Altair AI Hub 2024.1 is now available to download.

Here are some highlights of the release.

• • Expanded internationalization: Altair AI Studio is now supported in Korean, in addition to English, Chinese, and Japanese. Added i18n support for the Operator help documents. Few operators are now available in the Chinese Language.
  • Altair Units license management: AI Studio 2024.1 now stacks the Altair units when used with other Altair products. At the same time, it levels units if multiple instances of AI Studio are used together. Also, to help the users manage Altair Units licenses, Altair AI Studio 2024.1 ships the Altair license management utility for the Windows OS. This allows users to manage, activate, and monitor their Altair Units licenses via the GUI utility.
  • RapidMiner Radoop: The Radoop extension 10.5.0 offers users direct read and write access to files stored in HDFS, with the added capability to design the processing of these files in a Loop operator within a Radoop Nest operator. Only the processed or aggregated data is brought back to local memory, giving users the power to work with datasets that are too large to handle in memory. The Loop operator can include all Studio operators, providing a wide range of processing options for your HDFS files, pushing the actual execution into Spark.

• Interactive Analysis settings: A new setting has been added to change the decision tree node color for continuous and numerical targets.

Further enhancements include:
• SharePoint Extension:Users can now establish a SharePoint connection to authenticate with delegated permissions. Delegated permissions provide an application with access to act on behalf of a user, allowing access only to the data that the user can reach. This differs from application permissions, which enable an application to access any data associated with the permission directly.
• SMB ExtensionSupport was added to specify subfolders in the connection configuration. If configured, the file browser opens the specified subfolder instead of the SMB share root, and the operators will read content from that path.
• AI Hub Layout: Some cosmetic improvements in Altair AI Hub to unify modal size and better support screens with low resolution.
• Python Package: The ‘rapidminer’ python package now allows connecting to the Altair AI Hub server using auth token and client secret.
